Live Webinar: Intrathecal Baclofen Therapy
This is a LIVE webinar. The webinar will be about 1 hour in length. You will need to watch the webinar, receive a 80% or higher passing grade on a quiz, and then complete an evaluation to receive your certificate and complete this course.
During the webinar, the participants will learn about the intrathecal baclofen device. They will learn what patient will benefit most from the device, how the device works and what education is most important for the patient and family to learn. The webinar will also identify what rehabilitation nurses who encounter patients with this device should know including signs and symptoms of complications and what to do.
Learning Objectives
Identify what patients may present with a baclofen pump
The steps involved in identifying if a patient is appropriate for pump placement
List the equipment needed for pump management, dose changes and refills
Name at least one sign or symptom of baclofen pump overdose or underdose
Identify at least one important education point for patients with baclofen pumps and their families.
