Patients with acquired brain injury often need to have stimuli slowly reintroduced through the use of a controlled stimulation environment (CSE) to support their capacity to process stimuli, focus on tasks, and help decrease potential agitation to promote a successful recovery. This presentation shares the experience of one inpatient rehabilitation facility’s journey to implement a CSE program. It will highlight the crucial role of an interdisciplinary team in successfully implementing an evidence-based CSE program for their brain injury population.
