ARN Special Nursing Advocacy Institute
This live session will be presented virtually on May 18th and May 20th from 8AM-12PM CT.
The Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) is committed to advancing rehabilitation nursing by influencing health policy that improves patient care, access, and outcomes. As part of this commitment, ARN is proud to introduce the Health Policy Special Advocacy Institute; a structured advocacy experience designed to equip rehabilitation nurses with the knowledge, confidence, and skills to engage in meaningful policy advocacy.
The Special Advocacy Institute is a two-day virtual program that brings together health policy experts, nurse advocates, and government representatives to provide an in‑depth introduction to the federal legislative process, advocacy strategy, and current policy issues impacting rehabilitation nursing. Through interactive sessions and focused training, participants will gain the foundational tools needed to effectively represent the rehabilitation nursing voice.
Following the virtual institute, participants will have the opportunity to apply their training through an in‑person Capitol Hill advocacy experience. The ARN Health Policy Committee will review applications and select participants who are best suited to accompany ARN during these meetings.
