No Nurse Left Behind: Creating an Inclusive Transition to Practice Program for Rehabilitation LPNs
This is a recording of a session from ARN's 2024 conference. This recording is about 1 hour in length. You will need to watch the recording, then complete an evaluation to receive your certificate and complete this course. You will have access to this course for 1 year, starting on the purchase date.
Come learn how to create an inclusive and dynamic program that empowers ALL nurses to excel as new graduates entering the rehabilitation specialty. Transition to practice (also known as nurse residency) programs have traditionally been exclusive for supporting newly licensed Registered Nurses, yet every newly licensed nurse should have the support when coming from school into the practice setting. This is especially true for our rehabilitation nurses, including LPNs! Join us for an informative presentation highlighting the evidence-based design, planning and successful implementation of a transition to practice nursing program that truly leaves no nurse behind in their professional and clinical skill development!
Learning Objectives
- Examine the need for a rehabilitation transition to practice nursing program at their organization.
- Identify potential barriers to the development of a rehabilitation transition to practice nursing program at their organization.
- Apply evidence-based design to support newly licensed rehabilitation nurses.
- Identify opportunities to promote the clinical success and engagement of newly licensed rehabilitation nurses within the organization.
