Foundations Module 1.2: Fundamentals of Rehabilitation Nursing

This program includes a video that was recorded on a previous date. The recording is about 1 hour in length. You will need to watch the recording, receive a 70% or higher passing grade on a quiz, and then complete an evaluation to receive your certificate and complete this course. You will have access to this course for 1 year, starting on the purchase date.

This program provides a comprehensive overview of rehabilitation nursing. It includes a description of the Rehabilitation Nursing Competency Model along with its application to practice, rehabilitation theories and nursing models, along with many other interesting aspects which will provide a strong knowledge base on the fundamentals of rehabilitation nursing.

Jill Rye is the Clinical Nurse Leader for a 31-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit at Avera McKennan in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She has 30 years of experience in rehabilitation nursing as a staff nurse and patient care coordinator and nurse manager. She has earned a bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Augustana College, in Sioux Falls, SD and a DNP with a focus on Executive Leadership from American Sentinel University in Aurora Colorado. She has served on the ARN Board of Directors and past president of the South Dakota Chapter of ARN. She was involved in the development of the ARN Competency Model.
