You will need to review all of this course content, then receive a 70% or higher passing grade on a quiz, and lastly complete an evaluation to receive your certificate and complete this course. Swallowing is a complex physiological act in which food passes from the mouth to the stomach. The act of swallowing is often affected in rehabilitation patients. This program provides valuable training on the process of swallowing, assessing rehab patients for swallowing dysfunctions, and appropriate interventions to implement when caring for such patients.

Raquel Neves, BSN, MSCN, RN
Raquel Neves is a Rehabilitation Nurse Manager at the Czech Rehabilitation
Hospital (Royal Health Group) in United Arab Emirates. Neves graduated as
a general nurse in 2006, and as a rehab nurse in 2013. Her areas of interest
are in neuro and stroke rehabilitation. In addition to her role as a Nurse
Manager, she actively contributes to many rehabilitation related projects and
initiatives, including stroke publications, the Continence Network, and projects
on Pelvic Floor muscles. Neves is an international speaker and has been
actively involved with ARN for the last 3 years. To challenge herself, she is
now in the last stage of earning her PhD (USA).
